Formerly known as the Science Center of Connecticut, the Children's Museum aims to spread science and nature education through an array of hands-on exhibits and programs. It lies in the heart of town, just north of John F. Kennedy Park. Popular attractions include the Gengras Planetarium and the United Technologies Wildlife Sanctuary, which gives a comfortable home to bobcats, owls, turtles, and many other creatures.
